US Government Considering DC as Location for Gitmo Trials

According to the Associated Press, the Obama administration is looking into the possibility of holding a criminal trial for Riduan Isamuddin in the nation’s capital.  Isamuddin, also known as Hamadi, is the suspected mastermind to a Bali nightclub bombing in 2002 that killed over 200 people, including Americans.  According to an anonymous official, the Obama administration is looking into holding more criminal trials in DC and New York. According to Royce Lamberth, chief judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the court is capable of handling the additional security measures and high profile.
