White House State Dinner Crashed by Couple Not on Guest List
A couple who was not invited to the first White House State dinner of President Obama’s administration breached security and attended the dinner. Michaele and Tarek Salahi crashed the dinner and posted photos of themselves on their facebook page. CNN broke the news and showed the couple taking pictures with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Vice President Joe Biden on air Wednesday evening. The breach of security allowed the uninvited guests access to President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, numerous Senators, a number of Hollywood figures, and prominent members of the Indian community. Secret service is doing a full scale investigation into the security failure that allowed a breach of the White House State dinner last night. The first State dinner of the Obama administration hosted Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife.
