Failed Nigerian underwear bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab offered information to the FBI regarding the American-born radical Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, after U.S. officials flew his family from Nigeria to talk to him. In a dramatic departure from the previous administration and an insistence on the need for extraordinary techniques and detentions, the Obama administration’s adherence to the rule of law seems to be producing results.
