U.S. Announces North Korea Nuclear Talks

The State Department announced that U.S. officials will meet one-on-one with North Korea to discuss ending the country’s nuclear program. Stephen Bosworth, Special Representative for North Korea Policy, will travel to North Korea by the end of the year in an effort to get North Korea to rejoin the six-party talks with the U.S., China, Russia, Japan and South Korea aimed at nuclear disarmament. The visit will be the first direct unilateral U.S. talks with North Korea under the Obama administration.
