As congressional support grows for new sanctions against Iran, senior Obama administration officials have indicated that they will assist in the development of new sanctions. The new sanctions plans, which will be introduced to the UN Security Council this week, will target persons and firms related to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
