Russian Modernization Supported by Medvedev

In his state of the nation speech, Russian President Medvedev addressed numerous issues including corruption, industry, economic woes, and strengthening democracy. Amid a struggling infrastructure and economic problems, Russian President Medvedev stressed the need for modernization. Mr. Medvedev has promised to end corruption and the state allowed monopolies, an approach to the presidency which is much more reformist than his predecessor Vladimir Putin, who is currently Russia’s Prime Minister. To read more, click here NYTimes.com.
