Police helicopter shot down in Rio

A police helicopter monitoring fighting between rival gangs in Rio de Janeiro was shot down in fighting Saturday that claimed the lives of two police officers, ten suspected drug traffickers, and a couple of bystanders. Al Jazeera reported that the fighting took place about 8km from one of the zones where the 2016 Olympics will be held.
