The Pakistani Prime Minister Raza Gilani said that US intelligence has provided no compelling information as to the location of Osama Bin Laden. Gilani affirmed he does not think Bin Laden is in Pakistan. This statement comes as the US announces a new strategy for troop increases in neighboring Afghanistan. Increased violence in Pakistan has raised the issue of whether the Pakistani government is able to control Taliban sects within its own borders. British Prime Minister Gordon Brown reassured Pakistan that the west, at least the United Kingdom, will stand behind them in their fight.
