President Obama’s trip to Asia is beginning to be viewed as an unsuccessful trip. Half way through his trip Obama is starting to realize, much like the Olympics plea, that his personal charm and ability to engage his audience can only go so far.
One of the bigger concerns of the Asia trip is Obama’s “failure” to be more clear on the Myanmar government’s actions. The Wall Street Journal reports that Soe Aung, a spokesman for the Forum for Democracy in Burma, a Thailand-based organization has said that President Obama and the Administration should not “keep send[ing] a mixed signal to the regime.”
