Iranians Continue to Protest for the 2nd Day in a Row

The protests today in Iran have been bloodier than many of the other protests in the recent months. Protesters continued defiance today after commemorating 16 Azar, “Students Day,” yesterday. Students flooded the streets in opposition to the regime in Iran. Iranian forces, more desperate than ever, arrested over 200 protesters while countless others have been injured. Iran’s chief prosecutor warned that even harsher punishments would come if the opposition does not cease its protesting. This leaves the world waiting to see what the Obama administration will do now that they have seen the Green Movement has lasted through harsh repression, fraudulent elections, and mass show trials of the summer.
