Iranian Reform Canidate Attacked Friday
Mehdi Karroubi, a reform candidate in last years Iranian elections, was attacked while visiting the northern town of Qazvin, to attend the mourning ceremony for opposition protesters.
According to a Sahamnews.org report, approximately 500 basiji—pro–government militia—and people from a nearby village attacked Mr. Karroub, forcing him to remain inside a building for four hours.
