Authorities Arrest Two Terror Suspects in New York

Yesterday, in Flushing, Queens, the FBI- NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force arrested and indicted two US citizens, Mr. Medunjanin and Mr. Ahmedzay. Their arrests were in connection with the September 2009 arrest of Najibullah Zazi, who was charged with planning an Al Qaeda attack. Zazi allegedly received various types of military training from the terrorist organization while in Pakistan. Sources say that the two men became suspects after they traveled with Mr. Zazi to Pakistan on that particular 2008 trip. The federal authorities have been following both of the men and others, including family members and people within the vibrant Islamic Flushing community for months. See more at the NY times.
