Air Security Tightens After December Threat

The TSA is stepping up security at US airports. The Secretary for Homeland Security, Janet Napolito said that the “continued threat” from al-Qeada has caused the increase. Security measures will include an increase in random screenings and a greater number of air marshals on certain routes. This all comes as a response to the attempted December 25 bombing of a plane bound for Detroit after a US intelligence review.
