Today marks the 20th anniversary of the fall of Berlin Wall. Chancelor Angela Merkel and Mikhail S. Gorbachev walked across the Bornholmer Strasse bridge (Böse bridge) in Berlin to commemorate the historic significance of the day. Later today, it is planned that Ms. Merkel will join EU leaders and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to walk through the Brandenburg Gate.
